This richly-toned all-Mahogany box features a Walnut and Holly inlaid border to add a classical element.

The joinery on this box is miters with Ebony miter keys which have a dual purpose in adding both a decorative element as well as making the miter joint stronger.
The bottom of this box is lined with a quality black leather which draws on the Ebony miter keys in this cohesive design. My interiors are precision fit and installed.
Finished with a variety of products and techniques to result in this highly refined appearance. Finishing is the most variable and potentially complex part of woodworking. I easily spend the majority of time in my builds in finishing. Many stages... many products are involved in order to achieve what you see in my final products.
