This large box features sides made of Mahogany and a top from Brazilian Cherry and is finished to a soft sheen.
The bottom of this box is lined with a cushioned, upholstered panel topped with a hand-selected fine fabric specifically chosen for the materials used in the box.
The joinery on this box is miters with Ebony miter keys which have a dual purpose in adding both a decorative element as well as making the miter joint stronger.
Finished with a variety of products to enhance the grain as well as provide a soft sheen appearance. Finishing is the most variable and potentially complex part of woodworking. I easily spend the majority of time in my builds in finishing. Many stages... many products are involved in order to achieve what you see in my final products.
