A lovely little photo album, for your very favourite snaps! This little book is hand bound with care, using a traditional style stab stitch binding. The covers are made with a paper covered in beautiful peacocks.

The peacock paper is a facsimile of a Chinese wallpaper, which is at the National Trust property, Erddig Hall, in Wrexham, Wales, UK (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Erddig). It hangs in the area near the Red Bedroom.

The album would be excellent for polaroid-style snaps, or a selection of small photos and would make a fabulous gift for a friend or loved one.

The hinged hard covers have a 1.5" embellished edge of blue tussah silk, which matches the peacocks on the paper. This silk is woven in two colours - the threads in one direction are bright royal-peacock blue, with a natural slubby texture, those in the other are very fine and black. This gives it a slight shimmer and textured feel, with an appearance that is very attractive.

The silk is overlapped onto the paper covers, with a small fringe on the edge. The Japanese style stab-stitch binding is made with a golden yellow, hand-waxed linen thread, for strength and beauty.

The inside of each cover is lined in deep ocean blue Canford art paper, with a smooth, fine finish. The 15 pages are of pale blue Canford card, which is also smooth and fine in finish. The pages have been pre-creased at the binding, to make them turn easily and without crumpling.

Each page has a thin card "spacer" and a decorative page wrap, in the same peacock paper as the covers, giving a very pretty appearance to the bound edge. The spacers allow for photos to be added to the album, without it bulging out of shape. The book is therefore deeper at the bound edge, than at the front.

The overall outside measurement of the book is approx 7.5" x 6" (19cm x 15cm), with a useable page area of approx 5.75" square (14.5cm).
