Some time ago I read an article that a female and baby white giraffe were killed in Tanzania. Now there is only one white giraffe left on the planet. This terrible story prompted me to create Lonely White Giraffe as a splash of my own longing for what is happening in the world.
With the help of this written pattern you'll be able to make your own Lonely White Giraffe toy, its vest and hat. Clothing are removable.
LANGUAGE: English (US terminology)
SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate
SKILL REQUIRED: Magic ring, crocheting in spiral, crocheting with a turning chain, chain, slip stitch, single crochet, increase, invisible decrease, BLO, FLO, 3dc bobble, also basic sewing and embroidery techniques.
FINISHED SIZE: approx. 19 cm/7.48 inches high.
MATERIALS AND TOOLS:
* Alize Cotton Gold Tweed, Gazzal Baby Cotton or YarnArt Jeans yarn (50 g/160-165 m) five colors: white, orange, black, green, beige.
* Crochet hook matching the yarn. I used 2 mm crochet hook.
* Fiberfill
* Wide eye needle
* 2 black beads or safety eyes (6 mm)
* Little button (optional)
* Scissors
