A beautiful leather covered handbound journal, with Longstitch Binding and a decorative tie fastening.

The cover is of deep forest green leather, which is embossed with a "false grain" pattern - popularly used for ledgers and account books in the past. It is hand-stitched with ivory hand-waxed linen thread.

The book has four sections of 14 leaves/pages, making a total of 56 pages (112 sides) of off-white Zerkall Butten 145gsm paper, which has a very slight roughness to the touch, but is great for both writing and artwork.

There is a double fastening, made with red leather strips/thongs. This incorporates an adjustable pen-holder, on the inside of the flap. The long ends of the leather pass through the hand-stitched loops and are tucked in at the back of the book. The red leather has been passed over the spine, to give a nice decorative detail.

The outside of the book measures Measures 6.5" x 5.25" / 17 x 13.5cm.
