What is the difference between cold process and hot process soap? Same ingredients but the method in how thy are made is slightly different and the appearance of the soap are slightly different. Hot Process soaps are made in either a crock pot or oven as a source for heating the soap. Cold process the soap is just poured into a mold and heating process begins in the mold. Appearance, hot process soaps have a more rustic appearance versus cold process soap have a more smooth appearance.
