Primitive Whimsical Pillow - I'd like to introduce you to Roxie! She is my blue heeler and the inspiration for this quirky design. The bone is made of felt, the dog is a quilt pattern cotton fabric. Both were appliqued onto a pillow made of a blue cotton fabric. Buttons were added to create the eyes and a row of felt teeth were sewn into her mouth. A dog tag effect was created using a rusty bell and safety pin. The entire pillow was lightly stained with a coffee and spice mixture to give it a more rustic appearance.
