Many cultures and religions have views on the symbolism on the peacock but the one I found most intriguing was that of the Buddhist belief. They believe that peacocks are a symbol of renewal and wisdom. Peacocks are able to consume poisonous plants without being affected. Many compare that to enlightened beings (Bodhisattva's.) - They are capable of taking in the toxins of human emotion while still attaining Enlightenment. We could all use a little soul cleansing, no?

• These hand formed earrings were inspired by combining my popular polymer clay earrings and my hand colored resin earrings to produce a completely irresistible combination.

These earrings are all individually handmade by myself. I start with a rolled out piece of polymer clay around 2-3mm in thickness and cut them into even and consistent 7mm circles. I apply shimmer (if needed.) They are then baked to harden. After cooling any access clay is trimmed off. A 2 part resin is patiently and meticulously applied to the top of the clay pieces- at which time they are baked again at a low temperature for many many hours until cured.
