This beach photo was taken on the Greek island of Lefkada.

There are many Greek islands, but I haven't seen another one with such intense hues of turquoise and blue ocean and blue sky. I can still feel the gentle breeze moving the bright, white clouds. Which contrasts nicely with the deep blue skies and the turquoise ocean. And it shows perfectly in this travel photo of mine. We did stay on this beach for hours, lying in the warm sand, watching the waves and the clouds, while jumping into the ocean every now and then to cool down.

While living in Europe we used to travel a lot, also to Greece. We loved to take in the beautiful landscape of their islands and the ocean surrounding them. All this combined with very friendly people and great weather! Could you ask for more? Not only for us, these are the colors of Greece: Blue and white. A great photo to remember Greece while we are now in the US.
