Hardy perennial which returns year after year in USDA plant zones 4 thru 10.

Liriope is remarkably tough. It will grow in deep shade or full sun, sand or clay. It can endure heat, drought, cold, and salt spray, but will not take "wet feet" (needs well drained soil). This versatile plant can also be grown indoors, in patio containers, rock gardens, woodland gardens, as a border plant, or groundcover to help prevent ground erosion.

Versatile evergreen perennial with dark green, narrow, grass-like foliage highlighted by silvery-white vertical striping. In summer, pale purple flowers are followed by whitish-green berries. An effective accent for sun or shade as a groundcover or edging. It can also be grown indoors, in patio containers, rock gardens, woodland gardens, as a lawn replacement, and anywhere else your imagination can take you.... Grows up to 12 inches high, spreads 15 to 18 inches wide. Spreads by tubers and underground stems. This variety is not as invasive as others are.
