This board has a 1″ diameter hole allows you to hang the board on display in your kitchen or pantry for easy storage and drying.

This solid black cherry wood cutting board has been hand made from locally salvaged black cherry from Barre, MA. It is lightly figured, with a beautiful grain and warm honey brown color.

Black Cherry (Prunus serotina) has a moderate hardness, with a Janka rating of 950, has a uniform, fine and wavy grain, is native to eastern North America, and produces fruit readily eaten by birds. It is a moderately long-lived tree, with ages of up to 258 years known, though it is prone to storm damage with branches breaking easily.
