A sterling silver pendant with a silhouette of a frog. Frogs are very symbolic creatures, living both on land and water they represent the duality of the soul, and their many different forms through-out their lives make them a symbol of metamorphosis, creativity and forward thinking. They are often seen as a good totem for teenagers as they go through life's changes.

Often they are associated with fertility, as seen in the Egyptian goddess of birth the frog headed Heket and also the Chinese believe in the frog as a good luck omen for women in labour. It is suggested according to the principles of Feng Shui to put a picture of a frog in the east window of your home to encourage an easy labour and a happy family life.

To the Japanese the word for frog is also the word for return so some travelers may carry a small totem of a frog as a good luck charm and with the intent of returning home.

This pendant measures 2.3cm by 1.8cm and has a mass of 2.8g, the entire piece has been hammered for texture and comes suspended on an 18 inch sterling silver chain.
