Flying through the cosmos comes a flame ridden Starbird ....

Red Starbird is a lovely little wooden badge- from the tip of his beak to his longest tail feather he measures approx 2 3/4 inches, (68mm).

Red has been constructed by using an image detail taken from a larger piece of my three dimensional artwork. He is attached to a piece of spruce, pyrographied around the edge (wood burnt), scrollsawed, lightly sanded, then given 3 coats of a satin water-based varnish. A brooch pin is attached to the back, and each Starbird has the words 'Elf' wood burnt on the back (my signature!).

Red Starbird also has a friend you will see in the photographs above - she is called 'Blue'.... and originally accompanied him on his flight through the universe and beyond! She is available in a separate listing, however I will combine postage if you decide to buy her as well.
