Whimsical Primitive Bear Doll - Shelf Sitter, Tuck, Door Greeter, or Wall Hanging

I designed and created this adorable bear in my mountain workshop. I made him from muslin, a bit of rustic burgundy and mustard plaid flannel, some embroidery floss, rusty wire and jingle bell and a few sprigs of artificial greenery. Simple yet so very cute. I sewed on black buttons for his eyes. His snout is appliqued muslin. I embroidered his nose and mouth with black floss. In his hand is a flannel star with greenery and a tiny rusty bell in the center.

Mr. Bruin was painted with acrylic paint and stained with my coffee and spice mixture. He is 9 in tall if you include the hanger, the bear alone is 6 in tall and 6 in wide.

I added a rusty wire hanger so you can use him as an ornament or a door greeter. You could also remove the hanger if you cared to use him as a tuck or shelf sitter for your shelf or mantel or use him in any other craft project. Maybe Dad would enjoy him as a Father's Day Gift!

So many uses!
