Cate Links Annealed Beaded Chain. Links are made from 20g steel wire that I hand cut, file and form. Links then go through my annealing process which includes a slight tap to flatten it out a bit. Every other link has a green crackle glass bead. This piece measures 8 1/2 inches with each plain link measuring approx 1/4 inch and beaded links approx 1/2 inch long.

While the annealing process is permanent I recommend care in opening up the links because they can scratch. (I speak from experience! I use my nylon jaw pliers while making the chain and find it works quite well. I have also noticed while wearing the chain continually (I never take my jewelry off, bad I know…..) if it gets wet like in the shower and you don’t dry it, you just may see some rust over time.

I have also included the 4th picture of the bracelet that I have been wearing for literally months without taking it off so you can see how the chain becomes shinny and more gunmetal looking after time.
