I was inspired to create my colorful art sheep when a friend offered me a bag of wool from her own sheep which she had dyed herself. The sheep is sewn and stuffed, and then I stitch layer of layer of the colorful wool to the body. This is not needle-felted, but is sewn on with needle and thread. I have named this one Carnival, as its bright hues remind me of childhood fun at the Fair! He stands about 2" tall. His ears and tail are sewn separately, and his features are hand embroidered. Look for more wild and crazy art sheep in the future!
