Crafted from a solid and weighty slab of spalted black cherry, this footed wood block has amazing coloring and character! Black lines edge around swooshes of a tan freckled live edge and a layered color live edge. The natural coloring make this board truly unique.

The majority of the board surface is a warm, honey brown color.

The elevated surface allows this board to double as a comfortable height cutting board and a unique serving tray--compliments cheeses, olives, grapes--any food with a rustic natural feel!

It has been hand crafted from locally salvaged black cherry from Barre, MA.

Wood Species Information

Black Cherry (Prunus serotina) has a moderate hardness, with a Janka rating of 950, has a uniform, fine and wavy grain, is native to eastern North America, and produces fruit readily eaten by birds. It is a moderately long-lived tree, with ages of up to 258 years known, though it is prone to storm damage with branches breaking easily.

This board has been seasoned with multiple coats of a food-grade beeswax and mineral oil finish. A Cutting Board Care Instruction sheet is included with your board purchase.

Shipping rates are listed with the item, based on lowest cost shipping: USPS Parcel Post with delivery confirmation, which usually takes between 3-8 days. If within the shipping cost I will choose to ship USPS Priority Mail (1-5 days) or FedEx Ground (1-5 days).
