Does your gown have a black sash or black in your weddding theme? Do you like a dramatic label?
Our wide satin ribbon with a wrought iron inspired frame could be the perfect choice. This label is designed to be oriented horizontally and can support two initials and the wedding date in numerical format as shown. In our sample, we have the Open Block lettering with the stylized plus symbol, but you can choose from our extensive selection of lettering styles if you choose to vary this.
We show the label here in black and bridal blue, but you may choose your combination of thread colors or do the whole label in one thread color (silver or gold would be pretty too). We also suggest white or ivory for a monochrome look, keeping in mind it would be more subtle than the dramatic black. Just be sure to specify at check out.
This single label is 3 inches tall and uses 3 inch wide high quality bridal satin ribbon.
You may choose your ribbon in pure white, candlelight (slightly off white) or ivory (true ivory). I have included a photo of the candlelight and ivory next to each other to help you choose between them.
The edges of the ribbon are pinked (zig zagged) to prevent fraying. You will probably want to turn the edges under as you apply the label to the gown.
Sewing these labels into the inside bodice (top) of the gown is easy - see below or follow the instructions I include when I ship the label.
Please remember to specify your details when you order.
A Note About Sewing the Label into the Gown:
This wedding gown label comes with a "pinked" (zig-zagged) edge to prevent fraying. Most people tuck in these edges and apply it to the gown.
Once pinned in location, you can press the edge with your finger or a warm (not hot) iron before doing a whip stitch to sew it into place. In doing the stitching, take a little bite of the lining fabric of the dress (being careful not to catch the front dress fabric in the stitch) and then catch a bite of the label itself. Do this along the edge of the label on both sides. It does not take a lot of stitches to hold the label firmly in place. These instructions are also included with the shipment of your label.
