Tell us a bit about yourself and Blue Anchor Bay ?
Two years ago my husband and I moved back to our Native Scotland. We live on the SW Coast, a Beautiful, Rugged Place where the weather is often wild! I have always wanted to live near the sea and now that I do the things I make often reflect that love.
My Favourite Colour is Blue or Turquoise to be precise and the name of my shop comes from a Place in Somerset where we spent many happy holidays with the children when they were small. Last year I decided to start up a page on Facebook with the intention of showcasing my work. I never dreamed it would be so popular and that I would meet so many lovely, supportive, talented, encouraging people.

How did you get started in doing what you do? How long have you been creating?
Last Summer I saw a sign for sewing classes in our local town and decided to give it a go, something I had never really enjoyed or been good at but it felt like the right thing to do. I am so pleased I did. I learnt how to make a cushion, an apron and some bunting and I found I really enjoyed it! I showed off my work on Facebook and people wanted to buy it, that was the start.....I made bunting, fabric hearts and lavender fishes and they were all very popular.

Where do you get your inspiration?
I am inspired first of all by the Coast and the Sea and my love for all things Nautical and especially the colour Blue.
Ideas just seem to come to me at all different times, or things happen like when I saw an advert for the envelope template and I thought, oh there is something I could do....

What was your first creation? Do you have a favourite?
Years ago I used to knit so I created many items then. One of my favourites which also features in my blog is a knitted patchwork blanket which I made for my son 26 years ago when I became pregnant, it has it's very own story...

What have you created recently?
My most recent creations are my Handmade Notebooks which are now for sale here on Luulla. I was told by a friend to have a look at Tilda Paper and when I discovered it I was hooked and came up with this idea....
