Tell us a bit about yourself and sidirom ?
I am a mother to a five years old boy who is my number one priority in this life and a wife to my adorable husband.
I have a degree in economics which has helped me understand the way modern world operates.
Sidirom is an acronym of my last and my first name and I enjoy the fact that it sounds like the almost forgoten cd-rom.
Sidirom offers crochet accessories and jewelry that express my point of view and i realy hope that you will find it appealing.

How did you get started in doing what you do? How long have you been creating?
I am a crafter in my heart and in my hands, I like to fix broken things, salvage old furniture, recycle, upcycle, create.
I also sew and some times i embroider.
I like to cook too.
When i create with my hands and with my mind is when i get in touch with my self.
I got hooked on crochet almost five years ago. At that time i was making a fabric collage wall hanging for my son's room and i thought that little crochet clowds would suit it perfectly so i had to make them and i had to learn how. Since that day i haven't stopped crocheting

Where do you get your inspiration?
I get inspiration for my creations from the city i live in, the people i meet, the places i visit, the stories i am told, the shapes and textures found in nature.
Emotions,
Relationships,
Nature,
Urban landscape,
Music,
Noise,
Fiction,
All the above can turn on the "eureka" bulb in my brain any hour of the day, even in my sleep and this can be pretty disturbing at times.
For this reason i have a little note book where i write down an idea whenever it comes so that i can process it later.

What was your first creation? Do you have a favourite?
Since i was a child my mother was constantly encouraging my creativity in various ways.
So i can remember spending hours sewing my doll's wardrobe with scraps of fabrics, embroidering cross stich cusions for my room, making collages and so on.
At that time there was on the market a certain doll's closet which i wanted to have so my mother had this idea "why buy it and not make it instead" So i made a version of a closet out of cardboard boxes, painted it, even made little hangers for the clothes. I was so proud i made it and of course my closet was the best closet ever.

What have you created recently?
I altered some old plain cotton shirts i have. I added crochet collars and cuffs to them. They turned out to be realy cute.
For sidirom i made a new series of jewelry for spring and summer which are crochet knots. I hope you like them!
