Thank you so much for posting here! And welcome to the community. I will try to be as detail as possible and hopefully it will provide all the details you need about how search works on the site :)

When a new product is uploaded, there will be a lag time of few hours before it starts to appear in the search result. The indexing is done every few hours to make sure that new items are being added.

There are a few things that the indexer consider while adding your items. Items that meet the following criteria will be rank higher.

1. The product title - Having a relevant title will help people to find your items more easily. Try to limit the title to less than 10 words, as the longer the title is, the narrower the search term needs in order to hit your item.

2. The product description - A clear product description will help in your product search ranking. Put your best description for your item in the first few sentence of the product description as they are weighted more.

3. The Handmade Story and Profile Photo - When you fill up your handmade story and upload a profile photo and also completed the about section in your profile. The search indexer will rank your store higher and therefore your product items will rank higher in the search result.

4. Tagging - Put in relevant tags for your items. The search indexer also look at the product and material tags while performing indexing.
