Slender handcrafted adaptation of a Chesapeake Waterman's Bracelet made from three strands of natural twisted cotton cord and finished with a star knot toggle. The bracelet measures 1 1/2 “ in circumference and is made in pink, blue, and natural white colors.

These bracelets, as the story goes, were worn by working watermen to serve as a grip for their shipmates when grabbing on to them and pulling them back aboard should they have fallen overboard. While I do not advocate that these be used as a 'life saving' device, they do make a fine distinctive bracelet--one my daughters have thoroughly enjoyed wearing for years now.
