This dish is handmade from stoneware clay. It is almost 7 inches long and 4 inches wide.
I painted the edges black with slip and the inside of the dish I painted with white slip. I then painted with ceramic underglazes a picture of Mount Fuji with a lake, a village and purple cherry blossom tree branches in the foreground. I glazed the entire dish in a clear shiny finish except for a spot on the bottom.
This dish can be used for jewelry, loose change or a bar of soap. It also can hold snacks or dip or some sushi. All my glazes are food safe.
