This stoneware dish is 9 inches long and 7 inches wide. It is 1 inch deep and can hold 1 1/2 cups of your favorite dip. It can be used for sushi or cheese and crackers or even your jewelry.
I made this dish from a thin piece of stoneware clay and formed it by hand into a rectangular shape. After the 1st firing I painted a picture with watercolor underglazes of an Italian estate including cyprus trees along a driveway, a couple of buildings, green hills, vineyards and blue skies with clouds. I finished the dish with a clear shiny glaze except for on the bottom, which is unglazed and it was fired again.
This is a nice sturdy dish, it can go in the oven but the glaze will begin to crackle over time. All of my glazes are lead free and food safe and this dish is also microwave and dishwasher proof.
