Metal Quest...
Part of my new 'metal quest' serie, where I feature the prehistorical metal age, using mixed media. Primitive human beings, first discovery of metal, copper, 7000 years ago.
This pendant started with a piece of copper, that I fired, hammered and framed in ancient color polymer clay. I handsculpted the face from polymer clay, and gave it a genuine ruby and chalcedony gemstone headpiece, placed on oxidized sterling silver.
Except for the framed copper, all metal components (wire, beadcap and chain) are dark oxidized 925 sterling silver.
The lenght of the (1.2mm) rope chain is 18inch. The pendant adds another 2-1/4inch (6cm).
