"Glistening Snowflake Earrings" PDF Beading Tutorial

This simple beading pattern will easily teach you how to make these attention getting beaded earrings that will be fun to wear all winter long! With over 45 high resolution photos and easy to follow step by step directions, you'll be shining in your own glistening snowflake earrings in no time! Have fun!

    Tutorial by: Lane Landry

    Recommended Materials:

    - 6lb FireLine beading thread

    - #12 long beading needle

    - 15/0 seed beads

    - #2 bugle beads

    - #1 bugle beads (optional)

    - Ear wires

    - Chain (same color as ear wires)

    - Flush cutter

    - Chain nose or flat nose pliers

Special Notes: To make two different size snowflakes for the dangle chain earrings, you will make one snowflake using #2 bugles and 15/0 seed beads and another snowflake in a different color using #1 bugles and 15/0 seed beads (exact same process that yields a slightly smaller snowflake). The two finished snowflakes can be attached to two varying lengths of chain and then to an ear wire (as shown below) for more length and movement. Alternately, you can make either size snowflake and attach them directly to your ear wire for a shorter earring. The photos will show the snowflake being secured to a length of chain. If stitching directly to your ear wire for shorter dangles (no chains), follow the same steps for attaching the snowflake to a chain and then finishing off the snowflake.
