    "Dancing Clovers" PDF Beading Tutorial

This detailed beading pattern features over 40 high resolution photos and easy to follow step by step directions, that “show and tell” you how to make this cheerful little clover design into a bracelet and/or necklace that features three leaf clovers in alternating colors with lucky golden stems that wind along in a trellis-like pattern. This delicate, yet sparkly piece is; very spring (especially March), very Irish (in an understated way), very cute (yet elegant in it's simplicity), and just a lot of fun to make and wear! Adorn yourself with dancing little clovers that are sure to give you an extra “Spring” in your step and perhaps even a little extra luck! Bead happy!

    Tutorial by: Lane Landry

    Recommended Materials:

    - 10lb FireLine beading thread

    - #12 long beading needles (optional)

    - 4mm crystal bicones x (2) colors

    - 15/0 seed beads

    - 11/0 seed beads

    - Clasp – lobster claw and closed jump ring, toggle, magnet, etc.

    - Flush cutter

Note: While I made this project using 4mm bicones, it can also be made using fire polished or round beads. I personally liked the bicone crystals the most because they give each clover a nice little shape and a high sparkle factor – though they can feel a little sharper against the skin if you're sensitive to that. If you do use crystals, make sure you use 10lb FireLine beading thread so the crystals won't be able to cut your line (and break your bracelet) over time. If you want a necklace or bracelet with a little more substance, you can size up on all of the beads; just make sure you keep them all proportional to each other so the design isn't lost.

This fun beading technique reminds me of the long spiraling sea shells you can find on the beach! Using the Russian spiral stitch, you can quickly and easily create your own stunning beaded necklace or bracelet! With over 35 high resolution full color photos and easy to follow step by step directions, you will be able to bring the beach to your wardrobe this summer! This design was originally inspired by Carolyn Cave’s “Russian Wraparound” published in the October 2011 edition of Bead & Button. I modified the design by using fire polished beads instead of 8/0′s and changing the number of beads in each round, resulting in a more undulating tube. Happy beading!
