It takes a special kind of woman to look at a piece of hardware and see past what it is, what it's for, to the beauty of what it could be. That same type of woman is able to see past another person's rough exterior and see the gentle nature of their soul, to love them despite obvious flaws, to appreciate the not always obvious qualities of their character. This line of necklaces was created for that woman.
While shopping at my local antique store, I found two vintage, solid brass drawer pulls. I purchased them both and created two one of kind necklaces. This is one of them. The hardware itself measures 2 3/4 inches (70mm), or about the length of your ring finger. It has been left as I found it. I did not age it in anyway. It was, however, treated with Renaissance Wax to stop the aging process and to protect the wearer's skin and clothing.
It has been embellished with a solid brass floral filigree, a soft mint green resin floral cabochon, and a large Crystal AB Swarovski rivoli stone. The solid brass chain is finished with an antique gold and measures 17 inches. A large antique brass colored lobster clasp finishes the look.
