"Beaded Leather Dog / Cat Collar" Downloadable Beading Tutorial #6397
I've been wanting to make one of these for a long time and finally broke down when I recently rescued a “puppy” that had been abandoned in a foreclosed house. She was in such bad shape that the groomer had to shave her nose to tail. Afterward, she looked like she really needed “something” (besides a sweater and a lot of love), so I designed this colorful little beaded leather collar to make her feel pretty and brighten her up a bit (what do you expect from a beader?)
The pattern features over 60 high resolution photos and easy to follow step by step directions, that “show and tell” you in great detail how to make this 1/2” wide dazzling little collar to fit your toy to small size dog or cat “purfectly”! I also offer some helpful tips on how to select a successful color scheme to compliment your pet's fur color and personality. This design uses a standard plastic side-release buckle (just like the ones on most pet collars these days) so taking in on and off is a snap! The buckles can be found at most fabric and craft stores and, of course, online (I found mine at Michael's and Shipwreck Beads). This collar was designed to be both comfortable yet secure, and should hold up to regular wear for many years to come. Go ahead, spoil your little one with a colorful collar that will make him or her look bead-utifle! Have fun and “Bead Happy”!
