This is the thirteenth edition of the Wonder Book of Wonders, published in the 1950s. Ward, Lock & Co published Wonder Books from 1905 right through until the 1960's. There were general picture annuals (such as this one) as well as specialist volumes such as those relating to ships (which we will be listing soon!)
The front cover of the book has a fabulous illustration with polar bears and the aurora borealis. This is a great book to browse through with “7 plates in colour and over 250 illustrations”. One of our photos shows some of the contents of the book.
The book is in good vintage condition with only slight signs of wear at the edges and corners of the book. Please do bear in mind that this book has been well-loved by its previous owner so it will show some signs of use. These do not detract from the book at all.
This is a lovely gift for vintage and retro book lovers. Or why not buy it for yourself and sit back with a cup of coffee and have a little browse...?
