"Pussy said to the Owl "You elegant fowl,
How charmingly sweet you sing.
O let us be married, too long we have tarried;
But what shall we do for a ring?"
They sailed away, for a year and a day,
To the land where the Bong-tree grows,
And there in a wood a Piggy-wig stood
With a ring at the end of his nose, his nose, his nose,
With a ring at the end of his nose."
Second verse of 'The Owl and the Pussycat' poem by Edward Lear
This is a 10" x 8", open edition print of an original mixed media collage by Caroline Rose.
The original collage is 10" x 8", and was created using acrylic paint and various papers on a chunky canvas.
Lovely in a nursery, or for the whimsical at heart!
The print in centered on an A4 sheet (8.3" x 11.7"), ready to slip happily into a frame.
It has been printed by me, on Illford Gallery smooth pearl paper, which has a gorgeous finish, close to the actual collage!
The print is titled and signed on the back.
(The image used here is deliberately low resolution for protection of my art, the actual print is gorgeously crisp and full of colour!)
It will come to you in a cello sleeve with some stiff card, then slipped into a card backed envelope for more protection.
Thanks so much for enjoying my artwork!
