Perfect for the bride who is looking for something a little more sophisticated, this handfasting cord has been constructed from a combination of cream and navy blue satin, a gorgeous antique finish cream and navy lace, cream and gold braiding and pearl strung accents. If I gave my cords names, this one would be Downton Abbey! The pictures really dont do this one justice, as soon as the sunshine returns I'll take ones that are more representative.
The cords are plaited together and finished with a decorative wire wrapped section at the ends - this allows the cords to flow freely and give every sensation of movement, whilst still making them practical to tie during the handfasting ceremony.
The ends of the braided sections are embellished with a combination of glass pearls and Swarovski stones, with a tiny little leaf charm added to the very end. The remaining cord ends have been treated to prevent fraying.
The cord is approx 1.8m end to end.

All handfasting cords are posted in a luxury ivory coloured keepsake box, and I also have a number of 'upgraded' keepsake boxes available for when you want something a little bit special for your cord. As with the cords, the boxes can also be personalised to suit you.
Keepsake boxes purchased at the same time as a handfasting cord will not incur any postage costs.
I can also make jewellery items using the same elements as the handfasting cord, so that all members of the wedding party can complement the happy couple, as well as eachother. Examples would include earrings and necklaces, as well as bracelets for both men and women.
