Our wide satin ribbon with a bar frame above and below lends itself to the embroidery of the bride and groom's first name along with the wedding date.
This is satin wedding gown ribbon label that is substantially larger than our grosgrain ribbon label sets. This single label is 3 inches tall and uses 3 inch wide high quality bridal satin ribbon. The scroll motif is 4.25" long and almost 3" tall. For this label, we have a lovely frame above and below the bride and groom's first name and wedding date. Shown here is the Juliette Lettering Style which echos the curves of the bar frame. But you may choose a different lettering style you would like. You may choose your thread color of course. It is shown here in a bridal blue.
The edges of the ribbon are pinked (zig zagged) to prevent fraying. You will probably want to turn the edges under as you apply the label to the gown.
Sewing these labels into the inside bodice (top) of the gown is easy - see below or follow the instructions I include when I ship the label.
The label is shown here in white. You choose white, candlelight or ivory bridal satin ribbon and we'll embroider it with the couple's first names. You may also choose the lettering style from our selection at www.initial-impressions.net/embroidery/lettering.htm. Or you can just specify to do the lettering style like the example. We will do it in this bridal blue color for her "something blue", unless you specify a different color. We can even match a swatch that you send us. I have included a photo of the candlelight and ivory ribbon next to each other to help you decide between those colors.
A Note About Sewing the Label into the Gown:
This wedding gown label comes with a "pinked" (zig-zagged) edge to prevent fraying. Most people tuck in these edges and apply it to the gown.
Once pinned in location, you can press the edge with your finger or a warm (not hot) iron before doing a whip stitch to sew it into place. In doing the stitching, take a little bite of the lining fabric of the dress (being careful not to catch the front dress fabric in the stitch) and then catch a bite of the label itself. Do this along the edge of the label on both sides. It does not take a lot of stitches to hold the label firmly in place. These instructions are also included with the shipment of your label.
