This label was designed for the bride who prefers a ribbon rather than a patch style label and is a lovely choice for a rose themed wedding. We can change the color of the roses if you request that.
This is satin wedding gown ribbon label that is substantially larger than our grosgrain ribbon label sets. This single label is 3 inches tall and uses 3 inch wide high quality bridal satin ribbon. The edges of the label are pinked (cut in a zig-zag) to prevent fraying.
There is adequate space here for either the first initials of the bride & groom (as shown in the sample) OR a three initial monogram on the top line. The date will be in numeric format below the initials.
You choose:
1. Ribbon color - white (shown), candlelight or ivory. I have included a photo of the candlelight (top spool) and ivory (bottom spool)
2. The format for your initials. You can either embroider the initials in the order:
first initial - FAMILY INITIAL - middle initial
(family initial will be larger and in the middle)
--OR--
first initial - middle initial - family initial
(all letters the same size).
--OR --
initial & initial (as shown)
Please specify your preference in the order of the letters and also let me know which letter is the family name initial.
3. Your thread color. We can match your wedding colors or a swatch, just contact us!
Please specify these details when you order.
A Note About Sewing the Label into the Gown:
This wedding gown label comes with a "pinked" (zig-zagged) edge to prevent fraying. Most people tuck in these edges and apply it to the gown.
Once pinned in location, you can press the edge with your finger or a warm (not hot) iron before doing a whip stitch to sew it into place. In doing the stitching, take a little bite of the lining fabric of the dress (being careful not to catch the front dress fabric in the stitch) and then catch a bite of the label itself. Do this along the edge of the label on both sides. It does not take a lot of stitches to hold the label firmly in place. These instructions are also included with the shipment of your label.
