Are you wearing an heirloom dress? Here is a tradition worth continuing. Memorialize the "Big day" with a custom dress label personalized for your wedding. This label style features the square cutout embroidery that harkens from an earlier time. The detailing of these cutouts frames your monogram classically and beautifully. Your "something blue". This listing includes a wedding gown motif gift box for presentation of your special wedding label gift.
We can make this label from either all natural linen or from silk dupioni, for a natual and classic label.
Our label is easily sewn into the lining of your wedding dress. Anyone who can wield a needle and thread can do it. There are tons of options to make it specific for the bride.
The embroidered area of the label measures about 2.5" x 2.5" and the overall label size measures approximately 4 inches by 4 inches. It is suitable for a three letter monogram and a wedding date.
Fabric choices include natural linen, silk dupioni, or raw silk. Silk dupioni is shown in the sample. Silk dupionia has less texture than linen or raw silk, but all three are natural fibers and have some texture.
Please choose:
1. Linen, raw silk or silk dupioni. The linen is a natural color. The silks are available in a white, candlelight or ivory.
2. Your thread color for the embroidery (if you want we can match your swatch exactly)
3. The monogram to be embroidered with wedding date. You may either do the monogram as shown with the letters all the same size and the family name initial on the right (as shown) or choose to have the family name initial larger and in the middle. Please choose and let me know which of the letters represents the family name. (The sample is shown in the Diane style lettering, but you may choose other lettering styles from the regular website at http://www.initial-impressions.net/embroidery/lettering.htm
It is shown here on a black background to show detail. You will likely choose the color that best matches the color of your dress.
Additional Ideas:
1. A monochrome color choice of white embroidery on white and ivory on ivory is difficult to photograph, but is beautiful in real life.
2. We can use another color scheme if you prefer.
3. We have other choices in wedding labels for brides who prefer a full name or the names of both bride and groom on the label.
