Boho and Whimsical!
I've created a unique home decor, "mobile". The three needle felted wool balls represent "Earth, Moon and Sun"...they are meant to resemble each.
They can hang from wherever you desire, I picture them hanging from the ceiling in a corner of your fave room. They can hang over your kitchen sink. The light over your kitchen table may be a great place to attach this set and let them hang down and be the interesting conversation piece they are! I have a set hanging in my bathroom, over my light fixtures currently. They are a nice focus while I soak in the tub.
These would be a neat decor idea for a child's room or even a mobile to hang over a baby's crib. A boho, earthy, mother nature flare.
I have made each of the balls in this set by hand using the dry and wet felting technique. They are made with clean carded sheep wool batting, and wrapped and felted with hand dyed wool roving. The "SUNSET" wool roving is exclusive to my shop and is created just for me by jstforewe, another shop here on etsy :) The Sun and Earth both have small wooden spools attached to the bottom, just to add some further visual interest. The wooden spools have been recycled from my washi tape collection. Each of the three balls is strung with pure wool yarn, it has been hand spun and then kettle dyed by hand (dark natural) at a women's co-op in Uruguay. They are all separate pieces, you can decide how you'd like to attach them to wherever you plan to hang them...they could be tied to a wooden spindle and hung from the ceiling on a hook...or each of the 3 could be hung separate beside one another from a hook. You decide! Sending them separate helps them remain more versatile as to how you wish to display them.
Measurements: The SUN is 10" around and 3.5" high, the yarn attached through the sun is 59" in length. The EARTH is 7.5" around and 2.5" high, the yarn attached through the earth is 48". The MOON is 5" around and 1.5" high, and the yarn attached through the moon is 32". Each spool is 1" high.
My wool creations are made in my smoke free home and kept separate from my pets. Enjoy!
