Vintage Dictionary - Hot Cocoa And Orange Juice - A paper and chipboard drink coaster set.
Set of two. Each measures about 3 1/2" square.
Similar to chipboard bar coasters, these coasters are made with scrapbook papers and illustrations and definitions cut from a vintage childrens dictionary decoupaged onto double thick layers of chipboard (sturdy pressed cardboard), then finished with clear plastic contact paper on the front, and an acrylic spray sealant on the back.
These are much lighter than the popular tile coasters, with no worries about breakage or marring tabletops. They are quite sturdy and do not bend. The plastic coating on the front and sealant on the back make them very water resistant, but since they are made of chipboard, they are not entirely waterproof. Please don't immerse them in water or put down on a wet surface.
The back sides of the coasters have been covered with coordinating papers, as shown in the next to last picture.
To clean the surface, wipe with a just barely damp cloth.
