Hi there, my name is Laura, and I am a mother to three boys. In order to be there for them I work from home, creating Fantasy Ear Cuffs using wire wrapping. I use lots of different colours of wire in my Ear Cuffs, as well as silver and gold plated. The two styles I currently make are Elf and Dragon, though either of those can be used as Faerie, Pixie, Nymph, Mermaid, or Sprite Ear Cuffs- or any other magical mythical creature!
My favoruite beads to use to decorate my creations are Swarovski Elements, semi precious beads, and other faceted glass beads. In addition to the Ear Cuffs I also make other jewellery including pentacle jewellery, and Polymer Clay creations. My favourite polymer clay pieces to make are my Mermaid Pendants, some of which I will be adding here when I get the chance!
I also like to dabble in Beading, focusing on small pieces like rings and earrings....and geckos!
Tell us a bit about yourself and 29Moonbeams ?
Here are a few of my recent creations, including some tri color dragon ear cuffs, some sun bathing geckos, some mermaid pendants, an earshot of some water sprite elf ear cuffs, and my favourite Mermaid figure- The mother and baby sleeping. :-)
How did you get started in doing what you do? How long have you been creating?
I have always enjoyed crafting, I used to make friendship bracelets as far back as I can remember! A few years ago I dabbled in selling healing crystals on ebay, which was my entrance into the online retailing world. I opened an etsy shop in August of 2013 and that is when I got really serious about it. I joined Luula a while back, but only just got round to doing something with my store here. (There is not enough time in a day!)

Where do you get your inspiration?
I get my inspiration straight out of my imagination. I love magical creatures, and I love crafting, so it was only natural that the two should meet. The image here is of my very first Mermaid Figure. She has tentacles instead of hair like other mermaid types seen today. There are others, but I chose to only show this one because she is so important to me.
What was your first creation? Do you have a favourite?
If asked to pick a favourite of all my creations I would have to say that is impossible! I love all of what I do, but if really pressed I would say that Mermaids and Earcuffs are my joint favourite.
The first time I made a pair of Elf Ear Cuffs it took me over 6 hours, and I said after 'I'm never making those again!' Fortunately, I went back and had another go a couple of weeks later, and persisted. They still take a while to make a pair because I am a perfectionist and they must be the same on each side- but I'm happy to say it doesn't take me anywhere near 6 hours per pair any more!
What have you created recently?
What have I created recently? All sorts! But I have been focusing on the ear cuffs and beading. I want to be prepared for any possible festivals this year so I'm amassing a large stock of beaded items for just such an occasion. I will be adding some of them to my shop here over the next couple of weeks, a large army of geckos is amassing!
