Your order is secure, as I process all orders on PayPal, so I never see your confidential credit card information. You can use your credit card even if you don't have a PayPal account!!

TAX: 6% tax is charged to orders shipping within Michigan.

CUSTOM ORDERS: I love to do custom work and look forward to creating something gorgeous just for you:) Custom orders by their very nature are customized to your wishes and are not returnable.

I will work with you beforehand in detail to make sure we are both in agreement with what we are creating for you before I proceed. Once all your questions have been addressed and we are in agreement on all aspects of the design, materials and timeline, in writing, I will require full prepayment.

I require this prepayment in order to "go ahead" and purchase items for your order that I would ordinarily not have in stock and would not be able to sell to someone else.

Custom orders, by their nature, are not returnable. I will work you beforehand in detail to make sure you are happy with what I am creating for you before it's created. Emailed photos are also available before shipping.

DROP SHIPPING: I welcome drop shipping partnerships but I am selective. Online retailers that specifically specialize in upscale coastal home decor, please email me at beachgrasscottage [!at] gmail.com to receive a copy of my drop shipping policies.

I ship every business weekday from Michigan using USPS, Fedex Home Delivery or Fedex Ground (for commercial addresses).

Small packages weighing 13oz or less like shells or hair accessories ship USPS First Class Mail. Medium packages will ship USPS Priority Mail or Fedex, whichever is less expensive. Larger and breakable packages will ship with Fedex.

Most of my pieces are heavy, large, fragile, or glass, so shipping fees unfortunately have to reflect that. Shipping fees include necessary items such as inner and outer protective boxes and packaging materials in addition to the actual postage. Rest assured that I do not make any profit on shipping. I use clean recycled materials when I can:)

TIMELINE: we'll ship your order within (5) business days of being placed:) I'll contact you via your email right away if there will be an additional delay processing your order. Vacation shipping delays are noted at the top of my shop pages under "Shop Announcements".

ALASKA & HAWAII: I no longer use USPS to ship to AK or HI.

If you are in Alaska or Hawaii and would like to order, please contact me for a Fedex shipping quote; do not order from this site.

***If you place an order on this site for shipment to AK or HI, I will contact you with a Fedex quote for the additional shipping to get approval for the extra fees.

INTERNATIONAL: I do not ship internationally at this time. It's nothing personal:), just a business decision!

I want you to love your purchase and be 100% satisfied. Please message me within 7 days of receipt to authorize your return. I'll give you a return authorization number and help you with any packaging questions.

Products need to be in resellable condition, in our original protective packaging, and shipped back at buyers expense. Your PayPal refund will be processed upon receipt of your items in resellable condition.

LAST CHANCE CLEARANCE items are final sales.

DAMAGE: Please notify me of any damage within 7 days of receipt. I will ask you to photograph the damage; Fedex requires a photo during the claims process.

Together we'll decide on the best course of action regarding replacement/refund.

A word on shell/sea glass adhesion:

The shipping process can sometimes dislodge a piece or two of shell or sea glass no matter how much I bubble wrap the item:)! This is not "damage". Small repairs can be made with a household hot glue gun.

My items are almost always created "made to order".

My photos represent an actual piece that has been photographed before it sold, so you are viewing a "stock photo" unless the item's description states that it is a "one of a kind" or "original". Care is taken to replicate the photo in detail using the same elements whenever possible. Shell varieties or sea glass shades may differ due to unavailability at the time of your purchase but the overall design of the piece will always be consistent with the photo.

Each piece is a one-of-a-kind creation made uniquely for you!

SEA GLASS: I use recycled and manufactured sea glass in my pieces. While I LOVE genuine sea glass, using genuine sea glass in my pieces would be incredibly costly and would increase my prices to an unaffordable level.

ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS: Just a quick mention that many of the shells I use are by-products of the seafood industry and are eaten in foreign countries. Additionally, shell harvesting provides hundreds of jobs to overseas workers. I do not carry shells that are endangered or threatened. Certain shells become unavailable from time to time and season to season, which prevents their over-harvesting.
