Years ago, I remember sitting with my grandma when she would come from Boston to visit us in New Jersey. An amazing artist-she worked with oil paints, water colors, ceramics, crochet, knitting, needle point, paints on silk, jewelry and so many other things. At the time she was making beaded safety pin bracelets to sell at flea markets. I believe it was 1983. I would sit with her for hours helping her bead those safety pins in colorful patterns. I think that's when my love of making jewelry began.
I enjoy working with so many different types of materials, I can't choose a favorite. That's the gift that I got from my grandma.
