About FoxSpiritDesigns
Welcome to FoxSpiritDesigns! My shop is an offering of my favorite things; a bit eclectic with vintage, handmade, jewelry and miniature books. I buy, sell, collect and design; I am content to work in my studio all day long. My love of books and also southwestern jewelry has definitely influenced the direction of my business. Tell us a bit about yourself and FoxSpiritDesigns ?
I have a Bachelor Degree in Science and have worked in the Veterinary field. Currently I am focusing on my jewelry business and spending time with my husband and our shetland sheepdog, "Kenna".
My shop " FoxSpiritDesigns" gives me a way to share with the world my love of southwestern jewelry; vintage and also handmade by me. I also make miniature book charms which are becoming very popular with book clubs and many people who like to show off their favorite books.
How did you get started in doing what you do? How long have you been creating?
FoxSpiritDesigns began about 3 years ago, but I have been buying and selling vintage Native American jewelry online for about 10 years part time. I am now concentrating on selling and also designing and selling full time.
I have been crafty and creating all of my life; I remember being involved in crafts as far back as elementary school. In the summer, our playground had a crafts program that I loved. In high school my favorite classes were arts and crafts.
Where do you get your inspiration?
I get my inspiration from the things that I love to do; collecting vintage southwestern and Native American jewelry and reading.
My "miniature book charm jewelry" is a way for me to be around books and meet other people who love to read.
What was your first creation? Do you have a favourite?
My first creation was in high school I made a quilted wall hanging scene of a tea party in an old style kitchen. That will always be my favorite creation.
More recent favorites are my southwestern charm bracelets that I make by re-purposing vintage chains, pendants and earrings, etc. I make natural stone charms to hang from these bracelets for added color.
What have you created recently?
I recently came back from a trip to Sedona, Arizona where I purchased beautiful Sleeping Beauty Turquoise to make earrings with and also to make charms to add to my southwestern charm bracelets. In fact that is what I am currently working on.
Also, I am constantly making miniature book charms and am currently working on Christmas themes.

Sedona Arizona, land of the red clay earth. That is the first place I thought of when I saw your work, Love the bracelets and mini book charms, can't wait to see more.
