Tell us a bit about yourself and HYSTERIC Co. ?

Born and raised in Chicago, i first fell in love with New York city at the tender age of 19. Fresh faced and eager, I spent a semester in New York jumping into an accessories internship at Harper's Bazaar. It was there where I quickly discovered my affinity for fashion and jewelry. Having received my BA in Arts Entrepreneurship from Columbia College Chicago, I worked as a stylist in Chicago but was feeling the hunger pangs for New York. So. I took the leap, moved to the city that never sleeps and I haven't looked back since! Fast forward to April 2013, I established HYSTERIC Co. and pursued her lifelong dream of designing jewelry.

How did you get started in doing what you do? How long have you been creating?

I have been creating personal jewelry for as long as I could remember! Stringing Fruit Loops necklaces was probably my favorite activity as a child, second to snooping around my mom's jewelry box! It wasn't long before I graduated to visits to the garment district whenever I visited New York.

Where do you get your inspiration?

I draw inspiration from my life in New York whether it be the mix of cultures found in coffee shops to the beautiful architecture that line the streets of Manhattan. I love the simplicity of geometric lines and celestial shapes. I often use those themes to create my collections.

What was your first creation? Do you have a favourite?

Playing favorites is hard! I'm often in the mood for anything gold and layered, although I have days wear I mix and match different colored metals. HYSTERIC Co. pieces are intentionally stackable and meant to be piled on!

What have you created recently?

My recent pieces revolve around the theme of updated basics. Modern yet delicate and made to be thrown on with whatever you're wearing. My recent pieces include single to double bezels like the Single Bezel Lariat, the Double Bezel Bangle, and Bezels Ring.
