About Leelee Boutique

It was just something to do when I was recently widowed... at first. Then I figured out I had some talent at making fun, pretty and functional accessories with my hands. The feeling of making a new creation out of seemingly unrelated components thrills me and keeps me continually trying new designs. In a way, I feel closer to God when I am creating beautiful things. I love making bridal accessories, baby accessories, jewelry and decor items, so what I offer may change as my tastes evolve and customer demands change. Above all, I take pride in what I make and especially delivering superb custmer service during the entire process. Welcome to my store and blessings to all of you! Tell us a bit about yourself and Leelee Boutique ?
In my family we are continually striving to serve God. Through seeking him, we always find our way. This boutique is part of that passion and I will consistently deliver beautiful handmade items at a fair price. I have included pics of my creative space, (cluttered though it may be,) fiancee, Chris and I, and our funny kitten Noah who is investigating some floral stems. A sense of humor and hard work must go hand in hand to be successful, otherwise we would give up. Laughing makes any work better. My family and our kitten help keep the mood light around here and the environment encouraging. Welcome to my store and God Bless!!!
How did you get started in doing what you do? How long have you been creating?
I've been crafting as a form of therapy for several years since my first husband passed away unexpectedly. I started out making hair flowers and jewelry for my young daughters, then got more an more skilled as I practiced, studied various techniques and time passed. I have attached a few pictures of my favorite creations.
Where do you get your inspiration?
I get inspiration from many places. While walking in the park, something in nature might inspire me, or an old photograph in someone's home. During internet searches for supplies, I will find things I want to work with order them and try out the design I have worked out in my head. I do not use pencil and paper, instead my creativity flows from my heart into whatever I am making. Above all, my inspiration has come from my customers. Their ideas and input have shaped some really great designs! I've included some pics of a few customer inspired or requested designs.
What was your first creation? Do you have a favourite?
What a great question!!!! My first creation was a group of hair flowers for my daughters and I almost immediately became hooked on creating from then on. They tired of wearing the things I made and I had to do something, so I started selling them in a boutique shop locally and online. It was a steep learning curve, but eventually I got the hang of making what was not just pretty to me, but what people out in the rst of the world would love, too.
What have you created recently?
Most recently I have been creating bridal accessories because it is a strong passion of mine. I would like to keep doing that but also continue to make other things that suit me at the moment such as baby accessories or jewelry. You may find some surprises tucked away in my store from time to time such as home decor items or holiday trimmings.
