Over the years I've learned to not only embrace my sick sense of humor but share it with other twisted individuals.
Painting and creating have been my passion for as long as I can remember. My artworks are predominately acrylic on large scale canvas. I also love infusing mixed media and found objects. I've done commissioned work and art showings with fellow artist sense 2002.
Years ago, I created my stick figure zodiac designs with the intention of silk screening these and other artwork onto t-shirts as a way to promote my small art biz. Well, I hit a road block when it came to creating a quality silk screen that gave the appearance I desired. Months later (purely out of frustration) I placed the zodiac designs on coffee mugs and the rest is....well you know.
39 Cups has grown from my sadistic take on zodiac traits to various mugs with funny sayings like, "The Voices Told Me To". This was inspired by my CRAZY, but also lovable Gemini friends. Over the years I've learned to not only embrace my sick sense of humor but share it with other twisted individuals.
In addition to handling all correspondence, photography and advertising, each item is designed, hand painted or computer generated, cut, glued, ironed, punched, sketched and stamped by me in my tiny home studio. My son helps with critiquing (often unsolicited) and shipping when I can peel him away from the internet. Operating my online shop has been a most gratifying experience. Connecting with patrons and shop owners all around the world is probably the best part.
