All orders come with a 30-day satisfaction guarantee from the date of order (or 14 days from delivery, whichever is later).

If you are unhappy with your order or the item arrived damaged, we will be happy to offer you a replacement item or credit for future orders. The customer will be responsible for all return shipping and handling costs unless the mistake was on our part (e.g. a spelling mistake that was correct in the order form, etc.) in which case, we will provide a prepaid label or instruct you to ship at your expense and reimburse you the money. All CODs will be refused and returned to the customer at the discretion of the carrier. Due to the nature of these items, we cannot offer refunds for orders that have already been processed.

We offer a flat rate of $1.95 for all items (Domestic US Only)! If your order is over $59, we'll waive domestic shipping costs (use coupon USFREESHIP) or take $1.95 off shipping for everywhere else.

All orders ship with delivery confirmation. If you are ordering multiple items, just pay for the first item's shipping and each additional item is FREE SHIPPING. We will provide a tracking number within 48 hours (usually instantly) of shipping the item.

All of our listings have the approximate dimensions (within 1" but never larger than listed) that we think would look good for that particular Scriptum In Muris vinyl. If a vinyl isn't the size you would like (too big or small), or is a little too pricey for your budget we can make a smaller version for less. Contact us and we should be able to accommodate your request.

Coupons are valid on all items listed except tools, supplies, and samples (when ordered separately).

To return a product, please follow the below instructions:

1) Contact us on Etsy.com with the reason for requesting a return.

2) If accepted, we will provide you with an RMA number and return address.

3) Return the item within 14 days (with all original packing materials and included extras) with the RMA number listed clearly on the outside of the box.

4) Once we receive the item, we will inspect it to ensure that everything was included and contact you with instructions on your replacement or credit.

NOTE: Not including all original items or returning an ineligible item (see below) will result in partial or no credit at our discretion. The customer is responsible for all return costs.

If the shipment was damaged in transit please refuse the shipment or contact us immediately so that we can file a claim with the carrier (pictures of the damage is recommended) and work on getting you a replacement.

-Items that are not in NEW condition with all original packing materials included.

-Items that were partially applied or damaged during the application process (we may offer you a discounted replacement at our discretion).

-All clearance or discounted items (this does not include coupons used during checkout).

-All personalized and custom orders (including but not limited to monograms, names, and other personalized requests).

If you have any questions about an item, please contact us before placing the order. We will do our best to answer questions as quickly and accurately as possible. For orders that have already been placed, we will try to accommodate all requests, but may be unable to due to timing.

We try to be as accurate as possible in the depiction of each item, but due to the nature of all custom work, the final product may differ slightly from what is pictured or described. If you are in doubt, contact us with any questions.

-Make sure that that the surface you are applying the vinyl to is clean and dry.

-Take care not to touch the back of the vinyl when applying as the oils on your skin can cause the vinyl to not adhere.

-For best results make sure that the application surface is between 50 and 90 degree F.

-Unless noted in the listing, all of our vinyls come as a single piece for easier application. Some larger or oddly shaped vinyls may come as two or more pieces. These will be clearly listed in the description and each piece will have some sort of alignment aid(s) to help with applying.

Unless otherwise required by law, purchasing from our shop waives "Scriptum In Muris" of responsibility for damages sustained in the application, removal, or any other use of vinyl on any surface (including but not limited to, wood, glass, paint, stone, wallpaper, metal, plastic, or flooring). In some rare cases vinyl may alter, leave a residue, or permanently mark a surface and "Scriptum In Muris" assumes no liability for damage or defect to any surface.

If you have a concern that a material may be damaged by our vinyl products, you may request a small sample WITH your order that can be applied to an inconspicuous location as a test. This does not guarantee that over time, the final product will not damage your surface.

Q: How do I purchase a Scriptum In Muris vinyl?

A: You can either contact us on our Facebook page or check out our shop that is linked on the main page.

Q: I have an idea, can you do a custom order?

*** A: Absolutely! We would be happy to work with you to create your custom order. E-mail us your design or click on the "Request Custom Item" on our Etsy shop.

Q: Do I have to have a finished design?

A: You can, but we also can create a custom vinyl based off of an idea, quote, abstract art, or anything else you can think of.

Q: Can you make a copy of a business or sports logo?

A: Unless you own the rights to copy or distribute the logo, the answer is probably no. Most logos are protected by copyright or trademark laws. If you are still in doubt, go ahead and submit the custom order request, and we'll take a look.

Q: What types of items can be created?

A: We can do almost anything you could imagine. From quotes, monograms, initials, abstract designs, shapes, animals and more. If you can draw it, we can probably make it. To our discretion we will decline to print any images, words, or other artistic elements that we deem inappropriate, hateful, or just plain rude. We also have the right to refuse to produce any item that goes against our personal beliefs.

Q: Well what about...?

A: Go ahead and ask us. The worst we'll say is no.

Q: Does the entire thing have to be the same color?

A: No. We can do as many colors as you desire (and we have in stock). You may want to accent certain words in a quote or make a multicolor design. We can do those and more. Keep in mind that each additional color will increase the price of the product because of additional material and labor.

Q: If a Scriptum In Muris vinyl is too big or too small can you change it?

A: Yep. All of our designs are scalable and can be adjusted to fit your desired medium. The change in size will probably change the price of the item as well. Typically the ratio of width to height will remain the same.

Q: Is there a maximum size for a Scriptum In Muris vinyl?

A: Mostly yes. We are limited by the material we use and the equipment it is made on. However, if a quote is two lines, we could print them separately to make the overall piece bigger. We will make sure to let you know about special cases like these when you place your order.

Q: What about a minimum size?

A: This depends on the type of design. For example, if there are extremely thin lines, the vinyl won't have enough surface to adhere to the wall. If we think there will be a problem with the design, we will let you know before we create it.

***Q: I don't have an Etsy account and don't want to create one, can I still purchase a Scriptum In Muris vinyl?

Q: What payment methods do you accept?

***A: On Etsy, we accept Etsy Gift Cards, Credit/Debit Cards (direct checkout), and Paypal. Directly through us, we accept Credit/Debit Cards and Paypal.

Q: I tried to use the free shipping coupon (OVER59) with another promotional coupon and it won't let me. What should I do?

***A: Unfortunately, Etsy only allows you to use one coupon per order. Make sure to use the coupon that gives you the best deal. We may, at our discretion, credit your order the cost of shipping if the order still qualifies.
