The box has been custom built to hold the wine glasses you see in the picture and includes the plain wine glasses (not engraved) version of the model glasses seen. If you're interested in purchasing the gorgeous hand-engraved glasses you can upgrade to them for an additional $85.
The box and glasses will also make for a wonderful heirloom for you to pass down.
The top of this box is made from a nice piece of quartersawn Black Walnut for the top and Mahogany sides with Walnut miter keys... very nice flow to the grain in both the sides and top... as if a painter just swooshed it on. The walnut is a nice dark chocolate in color, though I don't recommend licking it.
This box has a fully upholstered bottom to provide a deluxe interior. In a time-consuming endeavor, I upholstered ten individual panels with furniture grade materials and topped with a quality black velvet for this added touch of luxury which I only do for select boxes.
Finished with a variety of products to enhance the grain as well as provide a soft sheen appearance. Finishing is the most variable and potentially complex part of woodworking. I easily spend the majority of time in my builds in finishing. Many stages... many products are involved in order to achieve what you see in my final products.

I've being doing love letter boxes for several years now and it's an incredibly romantic event. I highly recommend it for your wedding or even for an anniversary (it's never too late to add a romantic tradition!).
