The unicorn can be made with any yarn and crochet hook size of choice. The one in the picture is made with Stylecraft Special DK and a 2.75 mm hook. Using these materials, the amigurumi will be 23 cm tall (about 9 inches) in sitting position and 30 cm (about 11.8 inches) with the legs stretched out.

Regular stitch, decrease stitch, increase stitch, slip stitch

Crocheting in rounds, starting with a magic circle, sewing pieces together, crocheting in back loops only.
