Bead Crochet: For details on making a crystal rope, instructions are available in book "Bead Crochet Basics" by Candace Sexton. Project 14 was written by me, and my red necklace is featured on the back cover.
Each lot contains sufficient beads to make a crocheted rope. However individual tension and preferences will vary the length of the rope. I personally prefer doing a "3 Round" rope, as I like the feel of that weave the best. The more beads you use for your round, the rope will be thicker and the beads will not go as far.
Typically 3mm beads will net 3 inches of rope per 12 inches of beads with a 3 round crochet. Again, this will vary with your tension. In a recent project, 52 inches of beads net a 15.5" rope crocheting 3 around.
