THE YARN:
The yarn mix consists of 30% alpaca wool and 70% dralon fiber. The alpaca is expensive material due to the small quality of yarn that this animal gives (200 - max. 300 grams per year). It keeps really very hot. And the usual practice is to mix the alpaca because some people really cannot stand a yarn that warm. The yarn is being mixed up also to add some different qualities to the thread. The Dralon is a kind of Acrylic - lightweight, soft, and warm, with a wool-like feel.
Yet the clothing from this yarn keeps indeed very warm inside.
SIZES:
KOUKERY Red Cape with Hood can fit body types S and M. Important is the circle which you will get all around your torso when hand are put close down at the body sides; thus you measure the back/chest circle with the arms together above the bust.
It fits such a circle of 37 inches (94 cm) to 44,88 inches (114 cm).
The model on the picture has a circle like this of 42,51 inches (108 cm) and is size S.

What is KOUKERY?
KOUKERY is a tradition in my country preserved in decades maybe from ancient Thracian tribes. During the late winter and early spring the Evil is being chased away. The main participants, man by tradition, are wearing very heavy costumes head to toe all made of sheep wool covered with tassels and tangles. The costume always goes with a belt of heavy bells hung on it. They dance and walk in jumping steps and make enormous noise. They march all day and dance round fires in the evening. Nowadays this is part of folk festivals to be hold for days with much wine and pipe music.
I called the model so because of the allusion it gives with its funky yarn decoration and the big elfish hood.
