I'm an Army Brat turned Army wife crafting sanity from one duty station and deployment to the next! I've always been creative and been much more interested in what I would like to use something as more than what it was made for.
I enjoy many different projects and will usually have multiple ones going on at the same time. Whenever my family moves my craft room is the first room set up bar my kids rooms only. Both my husband and I are aware that I need that sanctuary and consistency to make it through all the change.
I dabble in a lot of different crafts not only to keep myself busy but also to teach my kids different lessons. While most parents dread that inevitable time their children will cut their own hair I was worrying about mine cutting up their clothes. I sew a lot and they love to help! My son made it through that phase but my daughter is another story (she came a couple dresses and t-shirts short).

Tell us a bit about yourself and ThatsSewSavanna ?
ThatsSewSavanna was the name I choose because whenever I would make things my friends and family would ALWAYS say That's soooo Savanna!
I really love to sew, so with a play on words I became ThatsSewSavanna.
How did you get started in doing what you do? How long have you been creating?
I cannot remember a time when I was not making one thing or another. Some of my earlier projects include clothes, jewelry, bags and wreaths. My mother and grandmother were my enablers growing up and now some of my biggest supporters have grown to include my sisters and sister in laws.
Where do you get your inspiration?
My family, friends and children inspire me to do a lot of things. I am a huge fan of girls craft nights! Sometime we plan specific crafts to work on together and other times we just get together to sit chat and finish that.
What was your first creation? Do you have a favourite?
My favorite projects usually end up being the ones I have had the hardest time with. You know the ones you have messed several times and it is so late in the evening all you can do is laugh when it comes out wrong again. They are so funny to look back on later.
I also am particularly fond of the cash box my husband made for me to take to my first booth sale!
What have you created recently?
Recently I have been working on some personal products for my home. My husband is pretty handy and we enjoy working on various projects together. He likes woodworking and I like to paint so I think we make a pretty good team.
